All Who Call On Him

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” ~Psalm 145:18

Psalm 91:15  When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.

Romans 10:13  All who call out to the Lord will be saved.

Joel 2:28  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.

Isaiah 65:1  I am sought by those who asked not for Me; I am found by those who did not seek Me. I said, Behold Me, behold Me, to a nation not calling on My name.

This progression of verses gives such hope! We know so many who do not call upon the name of the Lord in truth. It brings tears and anguish. But God tells us that even those who reject Him will someday call on Him. and THANK YOU GOD that you are not human. WE would say, “Forget it - I gave you a chance and you blew it” or “You cursed me and slandered me - no way will I have mercy on you.” But God is not like that - He is full of mercy and kindness and love. Remember the parable about forgiving 70x7 in Matthew 18:21-22? Does Jesus mean to forgive someone that wrongs you 490 times but not the 491? That would be silly. No, He means to forgive to the uttermost. He lead by example on the cross - “Father forgive them”. I believe those words were meant to cover all times and eons and ages, not just the men who were crucifying Him. Ahhh, it’s almost too much to take in, but God is BIG, bigger than our little minds can fathom. He IS love and will chase down, fight 'til found, leave the ninety-nine to rescue the one lost. Nothing. NO THING can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Romans 8:39b
