"And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.” ~Romans 14:4

“Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.” ~Romans 14:4

This hits RIGHT.THERE. Especially if we go with the perspective that everything points to Jesus. He is our Lord, our Monarch, our King, our Ruler, our Master.

It’s like criticizing someone else’s kids. Mom and Dad get very protective of their child, even if the statement is true. I can’t think of a single time in my experience where it was a positive thing where an issue was solved.. I can still feel that ‘blood-boiling’ when I recall certain situations when my daughters were spoken about.

If we believe that God lives within us, then judging a brother or sister in Christ is passing judgment on God, Himself! Hieromonk Damascene wrote from an Eastern Orthodox POV in that even life’s circumstances are in God’s control, like being delayed in traffic - if we complain, then we’re blaming God.

It’s a lot to take in. But what right to we have to look down on another human? It is God’s 'problem', not ours. We have enough to worry about with our own mind and body!

“All of us stand in the footprint of Christ” ~ Romans 14:10c
