“Be alert and of sober mind." ~1 Peter 5:8-9

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” ~1 Peter 5:8-9

Thinking you are alone in your difficult times just makes things worse. And one of the enemy’s tactics. His specialty is isolation and abandonment. It’s no coincidence that Peter uses the imagery of a hungry lion circling, separating, isolating.

Whispers in our ear: “You’ll never get through this - you’re weak. No one cares. You are going to fail”

BUT, our faith is stronger. HIS faithfulness is stronger. It enables us to stand rock solid against any and all of the devil’s schemes and deception.

Jesus says, “I will never ever ever leave you alone. I want you to rely on me. I will protect you and show you that there are others who have gone through the same thing and they are here to support and encourage you. One day, you will be able to help someone else. There is NOTHING in heaven or earth or under the earth that can separate you from My Love - the love that is pure, eternal, authentic and unconditional. Accept it. Accept Me. It is a gift with no strings attached. I love you.
