Be Still and Know That I Am God
Years ago, we posted a quote that said, βThe greatest blessing of prayer is not just getting an answer, but being the kind of person that God can trust with the answer.β
Wow! How many times do we utter, "please God fix this, please God take this away, please God give me this, please God please God please God...."
Do we always listen for an answer? Do we expect one? Do we wait for one before reacting?
Psalm 46:10a always puts me in my place. "Be still, and know that I am God". I always add "and you're not" in my head. Consider this - we are able to talk with the Creator of the Universe! Compare that to the possibility of speaking with a celebrity or athlete or composer or author. To be honest, we'd do anything and everything to get that chance. Why do we think less of a conversation with the Almighty God! He will be exalted in all the earth!
God is as close as our mind! And He answers every.single.time - it's almost too big to wrap our minds around.
Isn't it a lovely thought - that God can trust us with an answer!?! Thank you, Father!
Have a blessed day!
