Be Strong, Do Not Fear, Your God Will Come

"Be strong, do not fear; your God will come." ~Isaiah 35:4

What a comforting verse - no matter where we are in time, this is applicable! In the Old Testament, these prophecies could be referring to a rescue from foreign powers, or most importantly, the coming Messiah (many, if not all, thought they were one in the same). After the death, burial and resurrection of Messiah Jesus, He promised to come again - that is what WE are waiting for!

I love the next to the last verse of the Bible, "Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus!" I seem to whisper it often these days. Some translations say, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus". That is the name of one of my favorite worship songs. If you are able to listen on YouTube, close your eyes and be strengthened and encouraged! This is HOPE!

All of the earth
Make straight the highway
A path for the Lord
Jesus is coming soon

Like a bride waiting for her groom
We would be a church
Ready for you
Every heart
Longing for our king

Even so come
Lord Jesus come

So we wait
We wait for you
God we wait
You're coming soon
