But As For Me, I Watch in Hope for the Lord
“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” ~Micah 7:7
This verse could be THE verse for 2024, or any year, really. The world is a mess, our nation is crumbling, war is looming, our financial future is uncertain. Gloom and doom. But wait! We have hope in the Lord!
Micah lived about 700 years before Jesus came to earth as a baby born in Bethlehem and was the only prophet to name the birth place of Messiah! He had no idea WHEN it would take place, but he knew in his heart that it WOULD come. Why? Because God promised.
Sometimes it seems like God isn’t listening, or at least not answering. That is where faith comes in. Faith that God keeps His promises. If our faith wavers, we can ask God to strengthen it! Jesus is our faith when ours falters!
2Timothy 2:13 “if we are faithless, He remains faithful— for He cannot deny Himself.”
We are part of Him; we are IN Him. We are His body, so He is going to pick up the slack that we continually drop. But that’s ok! There is no shame - that is what a relationship is all about. Especially one with Jesus. Nothing is more awesome than that!!!
1 John 4:13 God has given us his Spirit. That is how we know that we are one with Him, just as He is one with us.
Have a blessed day!
