"But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.“ ~1 John 3:2

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.“ ~1 John 3:2

For me, this is one of the most exciting verses in the whole Bible. I read those words and shivers of excitement run down my spine.

If only viewed from a physical standpoint, think of it! Jesus was able to ‘teleport', walk thru walls and on raging seas. He was able to fly! I’m confident in speculating that He could talk with animals (my superpower choice). And even in a resurrection body, He enjoyed eating with friends. We will enjoy food forever!

But the spiritual realm is where things get really exciting. When He walked with us, He could not sin - He pleased God with every thought, word and deed. Oh how wonderful that must feel. David longed for that in Psalm 19:14 “May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.” And the ability to forgive! To hold no grudge. His mind was free!

Paul tells us that we have the mind of Christ [1 Corinthians 2:16b]. When we are walking with the Holy Spirit, we have that same power! The moments are fleeting, but we get glimpses of what we will become. What a beautiful thought that is!

We will be like HIM!!!!
