God Says I Am Named 2026 Devotional Book of the Year!

I’m still having a hard time believing I get to write these words:
God Says I Am: Embrace Who You Were Created to Be has been named the 2026 Golden Scroll Award winner for Devotional Book of the Year!
The Golden Scroll Awards are presented by the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA) and recognize excellence among Christian authors, writers, speakers, and publishing professionals. When I learned earlier this summer that God Says I Am was one of the five finalists in the Devotional category, I was absolutely thrilled. This was the first time I had ever entered one of my devotional journals in a book competition, so simply being named a finalist felt incredibly special.
But then came the awards ceremony.
When God Says I Am was announced as the 2026 Devotional Book of the Year, I was stunned, grateful, and more than a little emotional!
The Heart Behind God Says I Am
I wrote God Says I Am because I believe so many women struggle to see themselves the way God sees them.
We allow our past mistakes to define us. We measure our worth by our performance. We carry labels others have placed on us. We compare ourselves to the women around us and wonder whether we are enough.
But what if, instead, we learned to build our identity on what God says is true about us?
That is the heart behind this 28-day Christian devotional journal for women.
Throughout the journey, readers dig into Scripture and discover biblical truths about their identity in Christ. Day by day, they are reminded that they are beloved, chosen, forgiven, equipped, victorious, and so much more—not because of what they have accomplished, but because of who God says they are.
Each devotion includes opportunities to slow down, spend time in God's Word, reflect, pray, and journal about the truth being studied. My prayer from the very beginning was that this wouldn't simply be a book women read and put back on the shelf. I wanted it to become a personal journey of replacing old labels and lies with the truth of Scripture.
From a Devotional Journal to an Award-Winning Christian Book
One of the things that makes this award especially meaningful to me is knowing why this journal was created in the first place.
It wasn't written with an award in mind. It was written for the woman who needs to be reminded that her past doesn't get the final word.
For the woman who feels as though she isn't enough.
For the woman who has spent years allowing other people's opinions to determine how she sees herself.
And for the woman who knows what Scripture says but needs help allowing those truths to move from her head to her heart.
To have a devotional created with those women in mind recognized as the 2026 Golden Scroll Award Devotional Book of the Year is something I will treasure.
And Now, a New Chapter Begins
The timing of the award made the experience even more exciting. Immediately following the AWSA conference and Golden Scroll Awards, I had the opportunity to participate in the Christian Product Expo, where copies of God Says I Am were shared with Christian bookstore owners and retailers.

What an incredible opportunity to place this message into the hands of people who spend their days helping readers discover Christian books and resources!
I don't know yet where all of this will lead—and perhaps that's part of the fun.
What I do know is that I want to continue following wherever God leads, writing what He places on my heart, and creating resources that help women draw closer to Him and understand the truth of His Word.
Thank You for Being Part of This Journey
Christian Devotional Journal For Women
To every woman who has purchased one of my books, completed one of my journals, attended a workshop, shared a post, sent me an encouraging email, prayed for me, or told a friend about something I've created—thank you.
You are part of this story.
Receiving the 2026 Golden Scroll Award for Devotional Book of the Year is an incredible honor, but an even greater honor is hearing from a woman who tells me that something I wrote helped her open her Bible, see herself differently, or draw closer to God.
That's why I write.
And that's why I'll keep writing.
Most of all, I'm grateful to God for giving me the words, opening doors I never could have opened myself, and continually reminding me that His plans are so much bigger than mine.
To God be the glory—and I can't wait to see what He has in store next!
