His Love Endures Forever

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” ~1 Chronicles 16:34

It’s been established that anything set to music implants those words on a certain part of your brain where memory is stored. What a great way to memorize scripture! I once heard Amy Grant speak and she has trouble remembering words, but she sang an entire chapter of Mark right there on stage.

As soon as I read the verse for today, the words sang themselves in my brain. Thank you, Chris Tomlin. Thank you, Jesus, for giving him such a gift. Tomlin is one of my favorite musical artists. Not only is the music memorable, but he uses scripture to compose praises that touch the core of my soul. He highlights both the immensity and intimacy of God in a way that often brings me to my knees.
