“How many are your works, LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures." ~Psalm 104:24

“How many are your works, LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures." ~Psalm 104:24
My favorite thing to paint is one of God’s incredible creatures - I usually add a fun fact with an accompanying Bible verse on the tag. THIS verse has been used many times.
The whole psalm is worshipful praise of all of God’s creation, from the highest sky to the depths of the oceans. Almost every verse recognizes that God not only created all things, but is intimately involved in the daily operations. It completely negates the ‘clockmaker’ philosophy associated with deism, where God is pictured as having created the universe, winding it up and letting go. No Holy Spirit. No Savior of the world. No miracles.
But WE KNOW that God has come to the world that He created, dwelt among us as both God and Man to be the Savior of the World. He healed the sick, raised the dead, brought a new covenant of love and forgiveness. Taught us how to live the fullness of life with an eternal destiny that cannot be taken away.
'Here We Are To Worship'
'Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You
And here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me'
With all my heart I praise you, LORD! I praise you! ~Psalm 104:35b
