“For this is what the Lord says—
He who created the heavens,
    He is God;
He who fashioned and made the earth,
    He founded it;
He did not create it to be empty,
    but formed it to be inhabited—
He says:
“I am the Lord,
    and there is no other.”

~Isaiah 45:18

God created the universe for us! He positioned every celestial body in the heavens and beyond to create the perfect environment to support human life. God ‘formed’ and ‘fashioned’ earth - ‘artist-speak’. We are not only His creation, but His masterpiece.

The universe is full of design and promise - there is nothing random about it. Does that make you feel special? It should! There was a moment when Moses had the nerve to ask God for His name - the name is recorded in the original Hebrew as YHWH. It has recently been noted that this name is the sound of our breathing: YH (inhale): WH (exhale).

God gave Himself a name that we can’t help but speak every moment we’re alive. Even an atheist would speak His name, unaware that their very breath is giving constant acknowledgment to God.

Perhaps this gives new meaning to Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Oh come let us adore Him! Sing in exultation! Peace on earth good will to men!
