"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;" ~Ezekiel 36:26

We all know that one person who will never change. But just when you think someone is impossible to penetrate, God can step in and weaken all the defenses. The hard rigid law was written on tablets of stone, but Jesus came to replace that with a new covenant - a love story on the tablets of our heart.
The prophet foretold this in Ezekiel 36:26 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Paul used this analogy so beautifully in his letter to the Corinthians "You are like a letter written by Christ and delivered by us. But you are not written with pen and ink or on tablets made of stone. You are written in our hearts by the Spirit of the living God.” ~2 Corinthians 3:2-3
EVERY.THING. in the Old Testament points to Christ. This imagery is no different - the stone temple was destroyed and we have become the temple, with Christ as the cornerstone. A living breathing church, whose mission is to be His hands and feet. Not a judgmental unyielding unforgiving entity, but a love letter written by the Jesus Himself.
Pick the most stubborn person you know and start praying for them and watch the love of God melt their heart.
