“I will not violate My covenant or alter what My lips have uttered.” ~Psalm 89:34

“I will not violate My covenant or alter what My lips have uttered.” ~Psalm 89:34
We sure need this assurance right now - political unrest, media overload, war, employment and financial uncertainties. The list goes on and on. We tend to think that this is with worst time in history, but historically, there is a cyclic pattern of "terrible times" and then comparative peace.
But through it all, God is there. He is as close as our heart, mind and souls. He promises never to leave us, even in the toughest of times. This assurance is experienced as hope. HOPE! Hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ, made possible by the presence of His Spirit.
"And behold, I am sending the Promise of My Father upon you." Luke 24:49a
"You were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory." Eph 1:13b-14
Currently, everyone can use some hope. The hope of a bright horizen, the promise of a breaking dawn. We are reminded daily that Christ is coming - the sun rises without fail, vanquishing the darkness, perfectly prompting a picture of the Son Who WILL return!
Prov 4:18 The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that grows brighter until the full light of day.
Come quickly Lord Jesus!
