If God is for us, who can be against us?

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up on behalf of us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring an accusation against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ is the One having died, but rather also having been raised, who is even at the right hand of God, who also intercedes on our behalf. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Just as it is written: "For Your sake we are put to death the whole day long; we are accounted as sheep for slaughter." But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

~Romans 8:31-39

I love this whole passage! Especially the last 2 verses. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep on saying it: This has to be the best verse in the whole Bible. NOTHING can separate us from God. Nothing Nothing Nothing. NOTHING.

That means that no matter what you’ve done, no matter how many people you’ve hurt, no matter how many lives you’ve ruined, or lies you told or things you’ve wasted, God will still love you.

He loves you through the hard times, through the easy times, and through the boring-every-day-normal times.

You know what can’t separate us from God? Ourselves! Our rejection of Him, Our actions, our words, our way of living. Our decisions, our choices, our patterns. We were created IN Him, FOR Him and BY Him. We are His children.

Do you still love your child when they say they hate you? Would you save them from death if they were determined to ignore your warnings? There is no question. How much more does the perfect God love!

Well, that’s a free ticket with no consequences, you might say. But God says, “Is your life on earth perfect? You create your own consequences much of the time. You reap what you sow.  And I have reward waiting for you. If you love Me, you will WANT to please me and be a reflection of My Son. Don’t try to mold Me into what humans are, for I AM different. My ways are beyond what you can imagine.”
