“If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all” ~Isaiah 7:9

I saw a video of a surgeon praying in the OR at the beginning of the day - it epitomizes this verse in Isaiah.

Heavenly Father, Your word in Psalm 118 says, “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” This morning, when our feet hit the floor, let it be with fire. We will not fear, we will not be fatigued, we will not faint. We have faith that moves first. A hope that does not waver and a fight that remembers Who You are. We are not walking into this day blind. We’re walking in backed by heaven, covered in grace, fueled by purpose and anchored in the truth that nothing touches us without touching You first.

So if it’s a blessing, we’ll receive it, if it’s a battle, we’ll bring it, if it’s a lesson, we’ll learn it, if it’s a valley, we’ll walk it, if it’s a mountain, we’ll climb it, if it’s a wall, we’ll overcome it, and if it’s a cross, we will carry it.

We will not go into the day with our heads down, our feet dragging or our voice silenced. We were built for the heat, born to scale the walls and anointed to overcome darkness.

Give us eyes to see the moment, discernment to know what to speak to and what to walk past and a peace that does not rattle under pressure. We don’t want to miss what You’ve already prepared so whatever today holds, we’re ready for it. So You lead, we follow, You speak, we move, You send, we will go.

So let the day begin, let the weight come. This is the day that You have made. We’ll rejoice like warriors, celebrate like champions, endure like soldiers, advance like conquerors, shout like we’ve been redeemed, praise like we’ve overcome and dance like nobody’s looking.
