“Let us not become weary in doing good" -Galatians 6:9-10

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” ~Galatians 6:9-10
Wouldn’t it be the greatest thing if this was a world-wide motto? What would life be like if no one cut you off on the highway, stole your garbage can, drove past the homeless, spread gossip, sent scam texts about oweing EZpass tolls, etc etc.
Sometimes we get tired of giving giving giving and never getting back (I can’t imagine how Jesus felt!) but we have to rely on God’s promises that nothing good is ever done in vain. Someday, God may bless you by showing you the result of your kindness. He may do it at that tipping point - when you’re about to give up because you don’t see any results. Like when you see an answer to your prayer - doesn’t it lay you face flat in gratitude?
I want to scream it out
From every mountain top
Your goodness knows no bounds
Your goodness never stops
Your mercy follows me
Your kindness fills my life
Your love amazes me
I sing because you are good
And I dance because you are good
And I shout because you are good
You are good to me, good to me
