New Creation

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone and the new is here!” ~2 Corinthians 5:17

The anniversary of my Dad’s passing into the arms of Jesus was a few days ago - when I saw this verse, tears formed unbidden in my eyes. My dad had been legally blind since birth and now he can see! I keep thinking of how wondrous it must be to see clearly AND in color. He is free at last! We sang this song at his funeral service, which really was a celebration of his life. Even though this verse applies to the moment when our faith is ignited and we recognize what Jesus has done for us, it is doubled, tripled, quadrupled when we fold our earthly tent.
