"Only by remaining quiet and trusting in Me can you be strong." ~Isaiah 30:15

“The Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, says, "If you come back to Me you will be saved. Only by remaining quiet and trusting in Me can you be strong." ~Isaiah 30:15

Israel was rejecting God and trying to form an alliance with Egypt. EGYPT! The land who had enslaved them! In fact, a few verses previous, they say, “Get out of the way! [speaking to the prophet Isaiah] Get rid of the Holy One of Israel [God].

But guess what? God doesn’t listen. He’ll let them shoot themselves in the foot but in verse 18 He promises that He isn’t going anywhere. “I’m here, just waiting for you. I want to show you mercy and compassion. Your Teacher will come and show you the way.”

Wait! This sounds familiar. Doesn’t Jesus say, “I am the Way?” Isn’t He called Teacher (Rabbi)? How about 2 Timothy 2:13? “If we are faithless, He remains faithful”. But that's over 700 years later, you say.

Over and over we see how the Bible all points to Jesus. Every story, every event somehow and in some way highlights, predicts, forecasts the significance of our Lord. Even during the darkest of times, Jesus is the light that burns brightly, overtaking the darkness. He is coming. He will set this world to rights and reconcile everything to Himself by making peace through the blood of His cross, whether things on earth or things in heaven. [Colossians 1:20]

I can’t wait.

Come Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. [Revelation 22:20-21]
