Peace With God

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” ~Romans 5:8

Peace…one of those things that everyone desires, whether globally, nationally, locally, or personally. Peace starts from within. If you’re like me, when there is something on my mind, it keeps me awake at night. I don’t like conflict, so often these late night musings are focused on making peace with a tense situation. I find that if I’m not including God, my thoughts and insides are a jumbled mess of knots. Why do we hold onto this angst? Our God is a God of peace. Jesus made the way for that peace to include us - our world. Why are we so intent on making things harder for ourselves?

When we bring it to God, things seems to organize themselves and suddenly are lighter and easier to bear.

Php 4:6  “Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.”

We aren’t off the hook, though! God calls us to be peacemakers, but He is right there, pouring love into our hearts and the intent to bring solace into a situation. He empowers us to bring peace. HIS peace. Authentic and real peace.

Heb 12:14  “Try to be at peace with everyone, and try to live a holy life, because no one will see the Lord without it.”

“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.” ~2 Thessalonians 3:16
