“Praise be to the Lord , who has given rest to His people Israel just as He promised." ~1 Kings 8:56

“Praise be to the Lord , who has given rest to His people Israel just as He promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises He gave through His servant Moses.” ~1 Kings 8:56
Nothing is better than a good nap! The feeling of being rested is powerful - it makes the difference of having a good day or one where Murphy’s Law reigns. You feel on top of the world - able to move mountains.
The Sabbath was instituted by God to represent that rest, an echo of the rest that God took after creating all things [Genesis 2:2-3]. When Jesus came, He turned things upside down and said, “The Kingdom of God is here - the Sabbath is not one day - it’s everyday. You have rest in Me.”
The Cross was the point where everything changed - the Empty Tomb the crowning glory. Peace came. Rest. Prophecy fulfilled. God’s promises accomplished, with more to come! “Check it out! I am coming again!” [Revelation 22:20a]
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” ~Matthew 11:28-30
