Praying for You
“We have not ceased to pray for you.” ~ Colossians 1:9
When someone tells me that they are praying for me, it sends me to my knees. Especially when it’s out of the blue. It tells me that the Holy Spirit prompted them to do so. GOD is thinking of me. That sounds so dumb - of course He is - we are always “in His heart.” But consider it! The Almighty Creator of all wants someone to pray for me. Ah!
Paul is encouraging the believers in Colossae - He opens this letter by telling them that he thanks God for them, for the love they show others. Here is part of that passage - full of thanksgiving, praise, theology, encouragement and instruction.
“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” ~ Col 1:9-12
I pray this prayer for all of you!
