Reflect Him

Have you ever seen the pictures that show dogs and their humans looking like twins? The canine mini-me. The premise originally was that the longer the time spent together, the more alike the pair became. That works for people, too. Sometimes college roommates & spouses start dressing and talking alike, their tastes merging.

Love plays a factor in this - we want to emulate what we hold dear. Just think of what happens when we spend time with Jesus! We say we love Jesus, but sometimes prayer or study takes last priority in our busy days. I've found that the more I'm occupied with the Lord, the more I crave.

Once, I had the whole day to myself - I prayed that I would be saturated with His Word. I studied, read, prayed and wrote - it was absolutely glorious. No thought was given to the clock. It was me and God. All of the sudden I was done. For the first time that day, I checked the time and I still had a couple of hours, but had no desire to continue. At first, I was upset, but then realized that God had answered my prayer. Joy then filled me and I felt like Moses with his glowing face after meeting with God. That was years and years ago, but I feel like I'm still reaping the benefits of that day. More than anything, I want to radiate Christ, to reflect Him to others, only thru the power of His Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18  And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:6  For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed day! 💙⁣
