Rejoice in the Lord
“Rejoice in the Lord always; I will say it again: Rejoice!” ~Philippians 4:4
Ah, this takes me way way back to Elementary School VBS! Do you know where I’m going with this? The children’s song written about this verse - sung in a round -the louder the better! Or split into two groups, one being the echo (and trying to out sing/shout the first group). Good memories!
Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice! Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice! Rejoice, Rejoice and again I say Rejoice! Rejoice, Rejoice and again I say Rejoice! Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice!
You can’t help but feel a bit of joy and celebration! Now, they call it ‘manifesting’ [I want the eye-roll emoji right here]. But there is some truth to that concept. They say if you smile, your body automatically releases endorphins, feel-good hormones. You can grin yourself back into a good mood. Mr. Rodgers', “Turn your frown upside-down” was sound advice!
Try it, the next time you feel grumpy. Look up this song - it’s straight scripture, which means they are from the mouth of God! See if the curmudgeon-you loses the crank. It works for me!
Have a blessed day!
