She Confidently Trusts the Lord

"She confidently trusts in the Lord to take care of her." Psalm 112:7
Other translations say, "he (she) is not afraid of bad news; his (her) heart is firm, trusting in the LORD."

We certainly can relate to this - our newsfeed is full of terrible stories, worse than ever. I find that the more I listen and read about current events, the more unsettled I feel. Not afraid, but edgy. "Lord, help us", is my prayer, But then something happens. He gently turns my attention to Him. Reading, studying and praying prayers of praise and worship and wonder at His beautiful creation. The foundation for my thoughts turn from unsteady sand to stable rock and passages like Colossians 3:1-4 come to mind.

"You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on His throne at the right side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Your real life is Christ and when He appears, then you too will appear with Him and share his glory!"

That is where our confidence lies! In Christ. For all things, big and small. Oh, sometimes it feels like our pleas fall on deaf ears, but keep trusting - Only HE knows the full picture and His ways are best. Turn off the news and rest in HIM. Help those in need and always be kind. Reflect our Lord - your confidence will shine!
