She is Strong
"She is strong" is currently politically correct - it is the forward wave of thinking. Movements and marches and legislation are geared toward achieving equality for women in the workplace. Advertisement presents strong muscular women as the beauty template to emulate. The Olympic games have added a female division to many events.
But this picture adds the most important element. "She is strong in Christ". Men and women are nothing without Him, no matter what they've accomplished in life. There is nothing wrong with being physically strong - Paul even recommends working out, but secondary to moving forward in Him.
1 Corinthians 9:25-29 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. Train yourself for godliness;
1 Timothy 4:7b-8 "for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come."
We can be strong in so many ways - strong in spirit and character, strong mentally or physically, but being strong in Christ FIRST will strengthen all other things. I picture a mother duck with all her ducklings in a row or a magnificent lion, ruling over his surroundings. You cannot lose!
Proverbs 28:1b "the righteous are bold as a lion."
