Stating Facts!
When Jesus says, "I am with you always", that doesn't just mean as a companion, a helper, where you direct your prayers, your savior. Yes, He's all those things, but so much more.
He is closer than your very thoughts. Jesus KNOWS you, nothing surprises Him. NOTHING can diminish His love. He gave His life for you - "there is no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friends" John 15:13 "This is how we know what real love is: Jesus gave his life for us." 1 John 3:16
Sometimes we try to hide Jesus and take Him out only on Sundays, or Christmas and Easter. We pack Him away with our decorations and wrappings and feel good that we "worshipped Him properly", enough to get points or favors from God.
But it doesn't work that way. Jesus is your best friend, your soulmate, your one and only. (Imagine popping your spouse or buddy in a closet for a week!) Jesus is there for you to share your innermost thoughts, to vent to, to ask questions. He is there to bounce off ideas, to wonder with and puzzle through problems.
Your relationship with Jesus does not take away from your other relationships - it just enhances them. It makes them better and stronger and more loving. Love isn't finite. It grows and stretches. It's HIS love.
We love because He loved us first. 1 John 4:19
