“Teach us to number our days, using our time wisely, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” ~Psalm 90:12
Just as time spent with our loved ones is so important, so are our moments with God. It can be in simply appreciating His creation or contemplating eternity, praying with gratitude and praise, singing, doing our jobs with a joyful heart, serving others...the list is as varied as can be. He is there, listening, His focus entirely on YOU. You are seen and heard and beloved.
God gives us the right amount of time we need to do what He desires. If time seems to be short, then maybe He has other plans. When I had a 30 minute lunch break, I would study my Bible and pray that He would expand my time. He really did! But the lunches I spent scrolling through social media flew by. It was so obvious that I knew He was making a point!
Time truly is a gift. There is never enough! My Mom once told me, “if there were 30 hours in a day, we’d still need more.” She shared several verses about managing time - I’m thinking she had the same problem I do.
“So then, be careful how you live. Do not be unwise but wise, making the best use of your time.” ~Ephesians 5:15-16a
