That righteousness is Jesus Christ. Because of Him, there WILL be peace. Seems like that is the furthest thing from the global mind with now, but that is what hope and faith are all about - trusting what God says. Because He eternally exists outside of time, that battle is already won. He was already reconciled the heavens and earth, making peace through the work of Jesus Christ [Colossians 1:20], bringing quietness and confidence. Sigh. Doesn’t that sound lovely?
