B - Bible Verse: Proverbs 16:9 (NIV): "In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps."

L - Listen for God's Voice and Pray: Take a moment to be still and open your heart to God. Pray for His guidance and wisdom as you delve into this scripture. Ask Him to renew your vision and lead you on the path He has set for you.

E - Explore the History and Meaning: This verse from Proverbs reminds us of the difference between our plans and God's divine guidance. Proverbs is a book of wisdom, and it was written by King Solomon, known for his wisdom and understanding. The message here is clear: we may make our own plans, but ultimately, it is God who directs our steps. This concept applies to all aspects of life, including our pursuit of spiritual renewal.

S - Study the Key Words or Phrases:

Hearts: Refers to our innermost desires and intentions.

Plan: Signifies our human efforts to map out our lives.

Course: The path we intend to follow.

LORD: Represents God, the ultimate authority and guide.

Establishes: Highlights God's control and authority.

Steps: Our actions and journey through life.

In this scripture, we see the tension between our aspirations and God's divine sovereignty. While we make our own plans, it's essential to remember that God ultimately shapes the direction of our lives. This verse speaks to the importance of seeking God's guidance and remaining open to His leading for true spiritual renewal.

S - Summarize and Share:

Renewed Vision starts with acknowledging that we often have our own plans and desires. We set our course based on what we think is best. Yet, in this beautiful verse, we are reminded of the divine reality that God is the one who ultimately establishes our steps.

Imagine this: You're on a journey through life, and you have a map filled with your hopes, dreams, and goals. But, beside you, there's a loving Guide - the Lord Himself. He knows the terrain, the pitfalls, and the breathtaking vistas that lie ahead. He's not here to take your map away but to guide you along the best possible path.

As you seek Renewed Vision in your spiritual journey, remember to consult your Guide. Your plans are essential, but they find their true purpose when aligned with God's purposes. Let this verse encourage you to pray, "Lord, I have my plans, but may Your steps be the ones that lead me to a deeper connection with You."
