The Lord Goes With You

Max Lucado said, “God never said the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile.”

This was demonstrated so clearly by the exodus of the Israelites from bondage in Egypt during their journey to the Promised Land. All a forecast of our future eternal destination!

There are so many verses, like this one, that are scattered throughout the scripture, aimed to give us hope and an inner peace. These are some of my favorites:

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

1 John 5:5 “Who is he that gets the victory over the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Psalm 34:18  “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, and He delivers those whose spirit has been crushed.”

My prayer is that these verses touch someone in need of a glimmer of light, that they feel God’s Spirit pouring love into their hearts, that they would know that they are never alone. Hope is Jesus and He is RIGHT here!
