"the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” ~Acts 20:24

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” ~Acts 20:24

This part of chapter 20 is so interesting. The elders from the Ephesus church begged Paul to change his decision to go to Jerusalem - they knew that Paul was going to have trouble there, but Paul was adamant that the Spirit of God was directing him, no matter what would happen.

Just like Jesus. “Not long before it was time for Jesus to be taken up to heaven, He made up His mind to go to Jerusalem.” ~Luke 9:51

“Jesus began telling his disciples what would happen to him. He said, "The nation's leaders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the Law of Moses will make the Son of Man suffer terribly. He will be rejected and killed, but three days later He will rise to life.””  ~Mark 8:31

“The disciples were confused as Jesus led them toward Jerusalem, and His other followers were afraid. Once again, Jesus took the twelve disciples aside and told them what was going to happen to Him. He said: We are now on our way to Jerusalem where the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses. They will sentence Him to death and hand Him over to foreigners, who will make fun of Him and spit on Him. They will beat Him and kill Him. But three days later He will rise to life.” ~Mark 10:32-34

Even though the phrase, WWJD (what would Jesus do) started in the early 1900s, Paul had this down! He made it his life’s aim to re-present Jesus - as we should! We already have the mind of Christ [1 Corinthians 2:16] - may our actions demonstrate that! WWJD?
