The Wisdom That Comes from Heaven is First of All Pure

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” ~James 3:17

1 Corinthians 1:30a tells us that JESUS is Wisdom. “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God”. And He brings peace. The heavenly angel armies proclaimed it the night our Savior was born. Paul honored this with a powerful hymn of praise in Colossians 3:1-20

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation; because by Him all things were created, those in the heavens and those on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things are held together. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in all things He may have the preeminence, For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

That last sentence! That is the pinnacle of peace.

Some day, some glorious day, all will know. “Every knee will bow and every tongue confess, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, that Jesus Christ is Lord.” ~Philippians 2:10-11

Living, He loved me
