They Raised Their Voices Together in Prayer to God

“When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.” ~Acts 4:24

Anything I started to write was overshadowed by this wonderful hymn that takes my breath every time. I can still hear my grandfather belting this out in church. Sing it with me, raising our voices together in prayer to God.

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;

That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
