B (Bible Verse): "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14 (NIV)

L (Listen): Heavenly Father, please open our hearts and minds to the message of this verse. Help us to understand the significance of Your Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us, and what it means for us today. Speak to us through Your Holy Spirit and guide us in the truth. Amen.

E (Explore): The book of John was written by the apostle John, who was one of Jesus' closest disciples. John wrote this gospel to testify to the divinity of Jesus Christ and to encourage believers to put their faith in Him. John 1:14 is a powerful statement about the Incarnation, the truth that God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ. This verse tells us that Jesus was not just a good teacher or a prophet, but the Son of God, who was full of grace and truth.

S (Study):

"The Word became flesh" - This phrase refers to the Incarnation, the moment when Jesus, who was God in the flesh, became a human being.

"made his dwelling among us" - This means that Jesus came to live among the people, to be with them and experience life as a human being.

"seen his glory" - John and the other disciples witnessed Jesus' miracles, teachings, and ultimately, His resurrection, which revealed His glory as the Son of God.

"full of grace and truth" - This phrase describes Jesus' character as full of both grace, meaning undeserved favor and love, and truth, meaning perfect integrity and honesty.

S (Summarize): John 1:14 is a powerful declaration of the divinity of Jesus Christ and the significance of His coming to earth as a human being. As we reflect on this verse, we are reminded of the amazing grace and truth that Jesus brings to our lives. Today, we can trust in Jesus as our Savior and Lord, who has made a way for us to be reconciled to God and to experience His love and grace. We can also be encouraged to share this message of hope with others, knowing that Jesus is the answer to the deepest longings of the human heart.

Let’s take some time today to reflect on the wonder and mystery of the Incarnation, and to thank God for His amazing love and grace. Let’s also pray for opportunities to share the message of Jesus with those around us who are seeking hope and meaning in their lives.
