" When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." - Colossians 3:4

L - Listen for God's Voice and Pray:
Lord, open my heart to understand the significance of Christ being my life. Help me to hear Your voice as I meditate on this verse, and guide me in applying its truth to my life. Amen.

E - Explore the History and Meaning:
In this verse, Paul is writing to the Colossian believers most likely while he was in prison. He emphasizes the significance of Christ in the life of believers. He highlights the future hope of being united with Christ in glory at His second coming. This assurance of future glory serves as a motivation for believers to live in obedience and devotion to Christ.

S - Study the Key Words or Phrases:

"Christ": Refers to Jesus as the Messiah, the anointed one, and emphasizes His lordship and centrality in the life of believers.

"Your life": Indicates that Christ is not just a part of life but the very essence and source of life for believers.

"Glory": Describes the future state of believers when they will be revealed with Christ in His glory.

S - Summarize and Share:

Paul shares a profound truth that cuts to the core of our faith journey. He declares that Christ is not just a part of our lives; He is our life itself. This truth goes beyond mere existence; it speaks to the very core of who we are as believers. It's a reminder that our identity, purpose, and ultimate fulfillment are all found in Jesus.

Reflecting on this verse brings a sense of awe and gratitude for the transformative power of Christ in our lives. Personally, I've experienced the reality of Christ being my life in moments of joy and triumph, as well as in times of struggle and uncertainty. In every season, His presence has been my anchor, guiding me through the storms and illuminating the path ahead.

Knowing that Christ is my life fills me with a sense of purpose and hope. It reassures me that no matter what challenges I may face, His presence is with me, leading me onward toward the glorious future that awaits. This truth inspires me to live each day with intentionality, seeking to honor and glorify Him in all that I do.

As we meditate on Colossians 3:4, let's allow its profound truth to sink deep into our hearts. Let's embrace the reality of Christ being our life and allow His presence to permeate every aspect of our being. May we live in the fullness of His love, joy, and peace, knowing that in Him, we have everything we need for life and godliness.
