“You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in Your word.” ~Psalm 119:114

“Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength - carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.“ ~Corrie ten Boom

It seems natural to worry sometimes, doesn’t it? There are concerns continually that we can’t make leave our mind. But God tells us in Matthew 6:34 “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

How do we push worry away? Prayer helps!

“The wonderful thing about praying is that you leave a world of not being able to do something, and enter God’s realm where everything is possible. He specializes in the impossible. Nothing is too great for His almighty power. Nothing is too small for His love.” ~Corrie ten Boom

We can take refuge in our Lord - David tells us that He IS our refuge - our hiding place (reference not intended - Corrie ten Boom’s famous book about how her family hid Jews from the Nazis is called The Hiding Place - it’s a gotta-read). He gives us everything we need and turns the impossible inside out.

“You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in Your word.” ~Psalm 119:114

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” ~Luke 1:37
